Travel Thursday: D-Day

American Cemetery

To be perfectly honest, I didn’t even realize that yesterday was the anniversary of D-Day. I didn’t realize until very late in the day when I received my daily Google alert with news about France. I didn’t hear anything about it in the American media. They must have said something, somewhere, but not enough to make it noticeable. It’s nice to see that the French still make a very big deal about what happened that day. There have been a lot of wars and a lot more casualties since that day, but that doesn’t mean we should forget this very important day in history.
